Shri Krishna Chhati Mahotsav celebrated with devotion and splendour
at Jai Narayan Vidya Mandir, Kanpur

The campus of Jai Narayan Vidya Mandir came alive with divinity and festivity on Wednesday as the institution celebrated Shri Krishna Chhati Mahotsav with grandeur.
The function was graced by eminent dignitaries. The Chief Guest, Dr. Rakhi Bajpai, (Head of the Department of Music, Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya, Jhansi) along with Dr. Adarsh Tripathi (Retired Head of Department, Guru Nanak Girls Degree College, Kanpur) the other honoured guests for the occasion were Dr. Sunil Mishra (Manager), Mr. Anil Kumar Tripathi(Principal) and Dr. Namita Gupta vice-principal of the school, who added prestige to the celebration.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp before the deities, followed by an introductory speech by Mrs. Pragya Shukla(Music Incharge).The guests were then felicitated with mementoes and bouquets as a token of respect and gratitude.
The cultural highlight was a dance-drama depicting the divine life of Lord Shri Krishna. Beginning with his miraculous birth and Kansa’s failed attempts at infanticide, the narrative showcased Krishna’s safe arrival in Gokul and the joyful celebrations of the people. The enchanting Maakhan Chori episode filled the atmosphere with cheer, followed by a touching portrayal of Mother Yashoda’s deep affection for her beloved child Krishna.
The scene then shifted to the thrilling episode where young Krishna defeated the venomous Kaliya Naag in the Yamuna River while retrieving a ball, thus protecting the villagers from danger. The grand depiction of Indra’s wrath and Krishna’s divine act of lifting the Govardhan to protect Gokul from torrential rains, which received thunderous applause from the audience. The performance further unfolded with the mesmerizing Raas Leela and Maha Rasleela which depicted Kanha's love for the gopis.
After the dance drama bhajans were presented by presented by the students.
In the speech by the chief guest Dr. Rakhi Bajpai she praised the students and said that they should make music a part of their life. Dr. Adarsh Tripathi in her speech told the students how perfection can be there in their performances. Then the school's manager Dr.Sunil Mishra told the students about Sri Krishna, Radha and Meera. He also told the students how Sri Krishna's Guru asked him to impart the knowledge he had further. The entire program beautifully blended devotion, culture, and artistry, leaving everyone immersed in the spiritual aura of Shri Krishna’s divine leelas.

Investiture Ceremony at Jai Narayan Vidya Mandir, Kanpur

The prestigious Investiture Ceremony of JaiNarayan Vidya Mandir, Kanpur was celebrated with great zeal, enthusiasm, and a sense of responsibility. The occasion marked the formal introduction of the newly elected student council and the introduction of the House System, a step towards encouraging leadership and discipline among students.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guests, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the spreading of knowledge. This was followed by a soulful Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of the Goddess of Learning. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and positivity, setting the right tone for the day.
The ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries Hon. Mahesh Kumar(Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police), and Hon. Deeksha Jain(Chief Development Officer), being the chief guests for the occasion. Mr. Vijay Ajmani (Treasurer), Mr. Sunil Mishra (Manager), Mrs. Geeta Singh (Principal, Jugal Devi School), Mr. Anil Kumar Tripathi (Principal, JNVM), Dr..Namita Gupta (Vice Principal, JNVM), and Mrs. Archana Tiwari (Principal, Jugal Devi Shishu Vatika) were also present. The school choir welcomed the guests with a melodious welcome song, after which Mrs. Rama Agnihotri, in her welcome address, emphasized the value of hospitality by quoting “Atithi Devo Bhava”. The guests were then felicitated with mementos and bouquets, followed by a salute by the NCC cadets as a mark of honor and respect.
Mr. Anil Tripathi, Principal of JNVM, delivered the introductory speech, highlighting the importance of leadership, discipline, and responsibility in students’ lives. He also elaborated on the vision of the school to nurture future leaders who will serve as role models for society.
The most awaited part of the program was the Investiture Ceremony. The newly appointed school captain, vice captain, class captains, house captains, and activity in-charges proudly donned their badges and sashes, symbolizing the trust reposed in them by the school. With heads held high, they took the oath of office administered by the Principal, pledging to uphold the dignity, discipline, and ethos of the institution.
The ceremony also introduced the House System, with houses named after great personalities, social reformers, and nationalists, aiming to imbibe their values among students. The system is expected to encourage teamwork, a healthy competitive spirit, and overall personality development.
The solemn oath-taking ceremony was followed by a vibrant cultural presentation. Students showcased their talents through a graceful dance performance on Ganesh Vandana, symbolizing auspicious beginnings, and a well-coordinated yoga presentation, reflecting discipline, balance, and inner strength.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Namita Gupta, Vice Principal of JNVM, who expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests, management, staff, and students for making the event successful.
The day was a memorable milestone in the history of Jainarayan Vidya Mandir, instilling in the young leaders a strong sense of duty, integrity, and commitment towards their school and nation.
